![]() I will be coming from an Early 2015 13ā Macbook Pro so any config will be a massive upgrade in performance, but I want to be sure I am not wasting money on a GPU sidegrade with minimal thermal improvements. over a year ago by d4088iel S1,800 S2,080 14 Likes Like new In Laptops & Notebooks MacBook Pro 15 Intel i7 Radeon Pro Vega 16 very rare in the used. My impression is that the Vega 16 is more or less a performance equivalent compared to the 560X (except for apps that value HBM2 memory) but may offer better system thermals to allow the CPU to run better. Everyone seems to love the Vega 20 but there is a serious lack of real information on the Vega 16. Most media and articles about the GPU upgrades have focused on the Vega 20. ![]() Yesterday I received an email that had another 100. Last week when I bough there was a promo for 200 off, so 2599. Right now Iām torn between sticking with the base GPU (560X) or upgrading to the Vega 16. Apple lists this for 2799US on their site. ![]() I am comparing various builds of a Macbook Pro 15ā that I plan to buy in July.
